Baby milestone cards shaped as forest animals — a different creature cut from smooth birch plywood for every month of your little one’s first year — make this Baby Milestone Cards: Wooden Forest Animals set unlike any other in the collection. The collection includes rabbit, fox, bear, wolf, owl, hedgehog and deer — each animal shape is laser-engraved with the milestone, so every monthly photo tells a story in wood. Choose the 13-card set for the full month-by-month series, or the 15-card set to add two personalised name discs and make the collection entirely your baby’s own.
What Gets Personalised
👶 Baby’s Name — the 15-card set includes a dedicated first name disc and a first + last name disc, each laser-engraved in our studio to match the handcrafted feel of the animal cards
📅 Monthly Milestones Included — “Hello World” plus one through twelve months (13-card set), or the full series plus both name discs (15-card set)
🎨 Design — seven different forest animal silhouettes, one shape per milestone group, cut from birch plywood and engraved with the month text on the body of each animal; no two months use the same shape
Material & Craftsmanship
Every animal disc is cut individually from birch plywood (3–4 mm) — the silhouette outlines are precise, the internal cutouts are clean, and we smooth-sand every edge so the finished card is safe and satisfying to hold during a monthly photo. We engrave the milestone text directly onto the body of each animal using a laser, burning the lettering into the pale wood grain for a finish that won’t fade, chip, or peel over months of use.
✅ Handmade to order in our studio
✅ Laser-engraved for a clean, lasting finish
✅ Smooth, sanded edges — safe to handle around baby
✅ Suitable for monthly photos, nursery shelves, or gift displays
Forest Animal Monthly Milestone Set
Each card in this set is its own small piece of craft — a rabbit, a bear, an owl, a deer — which means that even before the engraving, these discs are worth keeping. A generic milestone card marks the month. This forest animal monthly milestone set marks the month with a handmade birch plywood creature that fits the feel of a woodland or nature-themed nursery from day one. Together the thirteen or fifteen pieces build into a complete first-year keepsake — one animal for every chapter of the story, displayed on a shelf, tucked into a box, or returned to every time the monthly photos are revisited.
Why Milestone Cards?
📸 Lay the matching animal disc beside your little one, take the photo, and the milestone is captured in the frame with a character all of its own — the rabbit at one month, the stag at eight months, the fox as the year draws to a close. Each card’s shape makes the monthly photo instantly recognisable even years later, without a caption needed. Off the shelf and onto the nursery wall between shoots, the full forest animal set becomes a first-year keepsake that feels as individual as the baby it belongs to.
A Gift for Every Stage of the First Year
🎀 Baby Shower Gift: A woodland-themed pre-arrival gift that arrives ready to use from the very first photo — one of the few baby shower gifts the parents will reach for every single month.
🤍 A Gift to Yourself, Before Baby Arrives: Many parents-to-be order their own milestone set in the weeks before the due date, so the forest animals are waiting on the nursery shelf from the first day home.
🍼 Newborn Welcome Gift: Given in the first days or weeks after birth — a handmade newborn gift from grandparents, close family, or friends that becomes part of the monthly photo ritual for the whole first year.
✨ Christening or Naming Day: A woodland keepsake that stands out on christening day — especially the 15-card set, where the engraved name discs are being seen by family for the very first time.
How to Order
1. Choose your set. Select 13 cards (Hello World + months 1–12) or 15 cards (the full month series plus a first name disc and a first + last name disc). Both sets include the complete forest animal silhouette series.
2. Enter the personalisation details. For the 15-card set, type your baby’s first name and full name exactly as you’d like them engraved. The handwritten-style font suits both short and longer names beautifully — just check spelling and capitalisation before you confirm.
3. Double-check the spelling. Every set is custom-made to your order, and the name you enter is the name we engrave. We can’t re-engrave a disc after production, so take a moment here before you add to cart.
4. We handcraft and ship. Production takes 3–14 business days. Every parcel ships with a tracking number; express upgrades are available — reach out before ordering if you’re working to a baby shower or due date.
5. Use, display, or gift. Start with the “Hello World” rabbit on the very first day, work through every animal as the months turn, then display the complete forest set on a nursery shelf as a lasting first-year keepsake.
A Keepsake They’ll Treasure for Life 🎁
Looking for a newborn gift that does something different from the usual baby shower basket? This personalised baby milestone set is chosen by parents-to-be ordering for themselves, by baby shower guests who want to give something the family will use every month, and by grandparents who want a handmade keepsake that marks the new arrival with something lasting. Unlike a generic welcome gift that gets put away after the first week, these forest animal discs come out every month for a year — and the monthly photo prop becomes a first year keepsake, one animal shape at a time. The complete set, with its seven different woodland creatures, is a handmade first-year record that no mass-produced alternative can replicate.
Key Features
📦 Set: Two options available. The 13-card set includes “Hello World” plus one animal-shaped disc for each month from one to twelve. The 15-card set adds a personalised first name disc and a first + last name disc, giving you fifteen handcrafted pieces in total.
📏 Size: Each disc measures between 5″ and 6″ (12–15 cm) at the longest point — the size varies slightly by animal shape, as shown in the product photos. Every card is sized to hold comfortably in an adult hand and to sit clearly in frame in a monthly photo.
🎨 Design: Seven different forest animal silhouettes cut from birch plywood — rabbit, bear, wolf, owl, hedgehog, deer/stag, and fox — with the milestone text laser-engraved on the body of each creature. The handwritten-style font adds warmth to the natural wood grain, and the varied animal shapes mean every month’s photo looks different.
💡 Material: Birch plywood, 3–4 mm thick, sanded smooth on all surfaces and edges. We finish each disc with a non-toxic seal so the pale wood grain is protected and the surface is safe around a newborn.
✍️ Personalisation: Baby’s name engraved on the dedicated name disc(s) in the 15-card set — first name on one disc, first and last name on the other. Enter the names exactly as you’d like them to appear at checkout and specify the animals that you want to hold the names.
👶 Ideal for: New parents who want a woodland-themed first-year keepsake and monthly photo prop for their little one — whether they’re ordering ahead of the due date, capturing monthly photos from day one, or receiving the set as a baby shower or newborn welcome gift from close family, friends, or grandparents.
🏡 Perfect for: Monthly photos from newborn to first birthday, woodland and nature-themed nursery shelves, mantelpieces, and gift displays.
