Material & Craftsmanship

We cut every disc from birch wood (3–4mm thick) — a close-grained hardwood sheet with a smooth, pale surface that takes laser engraving with remarkable clarity. After cutting each round shape, we sand every edge by hand to achieve a clean, splinter-free finish before engraving the rainbow icon, month name, and label onto the face. The result is a disc that’s warm to hold, tactile on the shelf, and sharp in photos.

How to Order

1. Choose your set size. Select either the 13-disc set (Hello World + one month through to one year) or the 15-disc set, which adds personalised name discs. If you’d like the name disc, the 15-disc set is the one to choose.
2. Add your personalisation details. If you’ve chosen the 15-disc set, leave your baby’s first name and last name in the personalisation field at checkout. We’ll engrave exactly what you provide, so please double-check the spelling before placing your order.
3. We handcraft your set in our studio. Once your order is confirmed, we cut, sand, and engrave every disc by hand. Please allow 3–14 business days processing time. If you need the set for a specific date or occasion, message us and we’ll do our best to help.
4. Your set is packed and shipped with tracking. Every order ships with a full tracking number. Standard delivery to the USA takes 6–8 business days. DDP shipping is included for USA customers — no fees on delivery.
5. Start the monthly photo series from day one. Prop the “Hello World!” disc alongside your newborn for their very first photo, then reach for the next disc each month.
